Gastrointestinal tract
The GI tract is a series of hollow organs joined in a long, twisting tube from the mouth to the anus. It includes the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and anus, with the liver, pancreas, and gallbladder also considered part of the digestive system. Its primary function is to digest food, absorb nutrients, and expel waste, benefiting all individuals who consume food.
