Geomagnetic storm
A temporary disturbance of the Earth's magnetosphere caused by a solar wind shock wave or cloud of magnetic field interacting with the Earth's magnetic field. These storms can disrupt communication systems, navigation systems, and power grids, often associated with solar flares and coronal mass ejections (CMEs) from the Sun. Geomagnetic storms primarily affect satellite operators, aviation industries, and power grid managers who need to mitigate the impacts on their systems.
