Longtail tuna

A species of tuna found in the tropical Indo-West Pacific waters, known scientifically as Thunnus tonggol. This fish is commonly referred to as the northern bluefin tuna and inhabits the tropical neritic zone, which is the shallow part of the sea along the coast, above the continental shelf. Longtail tuna are primarily targeted by commercial and recreational fishers due to their value as a food source and sport fish.
